I recently purchased a mirrorless, full frame camera, which does a great job with both still photography and videography. Photography will be another avenue for self-expression. I will post some of my photos on the Gallery page, and at some point I may create videos as well.

Photography gives me a new perspective on the world. I am learning to imagine how a composition will look later, when I’m at home viewing the image on my laptop. I am gaining an appreciation for cloudy skies, rain, fog, and how the sky is lit during the hour before sunrise.

Several of my inspirations are Nigel Danson, Sean Tucker and Henry Turner. On their YouTube channels they share their successes and failures, and encourage viewers to get out and take photos.

I expect some of these photos will be good; I don’t expect any of them to be great. I am learning a lot! As I stated in my article First, creating and sharing content on this website meets my needs for creativity, self-expression and authenticity.
